Palm Beach

This coastal town on the southeastern edge of Florida is as idyllic as its name suggests. Situated on an island in Palm Beach County, the town has a reputation for casual elegance with luxury resorts, waterfront restaurants, and opulent mansions. Separated from the mainland by Lake Worth Lagoon, Palm Beach has an air of exclusivity that makes it one of the most desirable places to live in the Sunshine State.

Residents have quick access to Manatee Lagoon, Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, Norton Museum of Art, and Henry Morrison Flagler Museum. Other attractions include Worth Avenue, an upscale commercial strip lined with swaying palms, and The Breakers Palm Beach, a luxury resort with golf courses, restaurants, and a half-mile private beach for guests to enjoy.

The equestrian lifestyle is also alive and well in Palm Beach. The renowned Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington plays host to the storied Winter Equestrian Festival, the longest-running event of its kind in the world. Palm Beach International Polo Season takes place at the same time at the International Polo Club Palm Beach.

Needless to say, Palm Beach is meant for buyers who know how to enjoy the finer things in life. The real estate market offers an array of housing options, including single-family homes and condos. Prevalent architectural styles include Mediterranean, Modern, and Contemporary. Buyers can also choose from an excellent mix of new construction and older homes that hark back to the 1920s.

Many homes have outdoor pools and summer kitchens that are perfect for entertaining. Some of the most coveted properties have ocean views or beach access.

Residents are served by the School District of Palm Beach County. It is the fifth largest school district in Florida and the 10th largest in the United States. The district provides quality education to more than 197,000 students and employs over 13,080 teachers.
